Bring Your Whole Crew to the Annapolis Powerboat Show

Date: June 27, 2025

As anyone in the heat dome can attest, summer is officially upon us—boats are in the water, kids are out of school, and catfish are coming out of the water pre-cooked. While you’ll have to wait until October for boat show temperatures, here’s a preview of a few family-friendly highlights to help you beat the heat next summer.

Family-Sized Flotation

Nothing tops a cool dip on a hot day. Plus-sized inflatables like the Sunchill or Further Custom’s swim platform are great for getting in and out of the water without having to clamber up a swim ladder or leaving puddles across the upholstery. They’re a must-have-item for young swimmers and fastidious boat owners.

Something New for You and the Crew

You’ve gotten everyone out on the boat. Now what? If you’re looking for new ways to enjoy boating with the fam, check out the free seminars. This year’s curriculum includes an introduction to trot lining for crabs and how to safely tow water toys. See the full seminar schedule.

Never Bored Aboard

Adults enjoy climbing aboard boats for much the same reason kids do—it’s fun to imagine being behind the wheel, setting off on a grand adventure (though perhaps with less of an emphasis on pirates and sea monsters). Exhibitors are always keen to let children or grandchildren aboard provided that they’re supervised. After all, it can’t be your dream boat unless they love it too!

Buoyancy Courtesy of BoatUS

BoatUS will be at the show to help take the anxiety out of leading littluns around floating docks. They will be providing youth-sized lifejackets at the entrances for anyone who needs one and they’ll be happy to explain how to make sure they are properly fitted.
