For Immediate Release/ September 17, 2019/ Annapolis, Md.– Each year dozens of premiering sailboats make their debut in the United States Sailboat Show.  This Annapolis-based show is the largest in the world and the only remaining show of its kind in America.  The in-water sailboat show was invented in Annapolis in 1970 and now, 50 years later, can celebrate not only being the only in-water, international all-sailboat show, but also the largest show in its history.  There is little doubt as to why this location is chosen by manufacturers from around the world for unveiling their new models, product innovations, and corporate sales programs. Little boats, performance sailboats, multi-hulls, and innovative monohulls spring from the drawing boards of engineers and designers from around the world and come to life and converge in Annapolis, Md from October 10-14, 2019.

1970 was a decade unlike any other, paving the way for sailboat making and buying. In addition to the premier of the United States Sailboat Show, Beneteau also launched their First Range Yacht. This year, Beneteau will premiere First Yacht 53 – a renewal of the original First Range Yachts on Dock F2. Other premiering boats include, Excess 12 on Dock C, Hallberg-Rassy 48 MK II on Dock E2, NEEL 47 Trimaran on Dock C, Dufour 390 and 430 on Dock F2, Tiwal 2, Dock F2, Amel 50 on Dock E1, Hanse H675 on Dock F2, Hanse H675 on Dock F2, BALI 5.4 on Dock B, Catalina 545 on Dock J2, and the Jeanneau Sunfast 3300 on Dock F2.

Not only can attendees see new and premiering boats of all different kinds, but they can experience them first-hand. More notably and modeled after the sailing league in Europe that has taken off globally, the Premiere Sailing League USA (PSL) will supply a fleet of identical RS21 keelboats that will be raced on inshore, short course, stadium-style races on Dock D. Sailors and fans attending the United States Sailboat Show can experience the new RS21s in multiple exhibition-style races directly in front of the show for free. Likewise, the American Sailing Summit offers Take the Wheel, sponsored by Jeanneau, where buyers can demo two sailboats of choice, compare one against the other, and fast track boat-buying knowledge, narrowing down the search for a new boat.

“This year is unparalleled when it comes to new and premiering boats. We are pleased that so many manufacturers choose Annapolis to premier their new boat models and products. Says Show Manager, Sheila Jones.
