Hurricane Victims Need Our Help.

Annapolis Boat Shows has launched a fundraising effort called
“Hands Across the Transom Hurricane Relief Effort: Boaters helping boating communities rebuilding after Hurricane Ian.”

The effort has a goal of raising $50,000 to benefit the thousands of Puerto Ricans, Floridians and Coastal Carolina residents whose lives…and jobs…have been negatively affected by Hurricane Ian. Please join us and make a donation. Together we will shine a spotlight on the compassion of the marine industry and its boating customers.

Through this effort we can make a big difference in the lives of the people impacted by the recent hurricane.

Many people in Southwest Florida and the Carolina Coast are in desperate need of help. We have identified four not-for-profits who are already on the ground, rendering aid where it is needed most. Click on the any of the organizations below to learn about their relief efforts and to make a donation today.

About The Organizations:

Team Rubicon, a veteran-led humanitarian organization that serves global communities before, during, and after disasters and crises. Founded following the Haiti earthquake in 2010, the organization has grown to more than 150,000 volunteers across the United States and has launched over 1,100 operations domestically and internationally. The organization was already on the ground in Florida when Hurricane Ian hit. Today, volunteers are working tirelessly to clear roadways, muck out houses, and bring hope to those adversely affected.

Old Salt Fishing Foundation, a 50-year-old not-for-profit located on Florida’s Gulf Coast, that has been active in Hurricane Relief for the past several decades. They have developed an extensive network of local contacts and have been instrumental in working directly with marinas, fishing guides, and marine service workers to render aid where it is most needed. Recently, the Foundation raised $50,000 in support of Hurricane Irma relief, and they are hard at work following Ian.

Donate to Marine Industries Association of Collier County is a charitable tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization established in 1995, dedicated to promoting the education, access, awareness, and enjoyment of southwest Florida’s local waters. The Foundation provides a direct link to render aid to those in the marine industry most affected by Hurricane Ian. Damage to marinas, employees’ homes and lives is significant. The foundation pledges to do all it can to help our fellow marine businesses and employees get back on their feet.

Cajun Navy Ground Force is a 501c3 disaster relief non-profit established in August 2016. They organize professional citizens to respond to a range of natural disasters across the United States. When a disaster strikes, they quickly mobilize volunteers from their arsenal of nationwide trained professionals to swiftly respond. Partnering with national and local corporations, donors, the federal government and community leaders for funding, the Cajun Navy Ground Force is able to provide supplemental services to those in dire need through programs like SAFE Camp, Community Caretaker Volunteers, Remote Teams.
