The Fall 2022 Semester of Cruisers University is now open for registrations!
The program will be held Monday, October 10 – 16 at The Historic Inns of Annapolis, 58 State Circle, Annapolis, MD.
CRUISERS UNIVERSITY SCHEDULE
More than 70 classes are available for sailors and power boaters alike who have an interest in learning the fundamentals of blue water cruising.
The Cruisers University curriculum addresses a complete range of cruising topics for all levels and experience to help you prepare to live aboard a boat and begin your boating adventures with confidence. From cruising the Chesapeake Bay to coastal waterways, or circumnavigating the globe, our experienced instructors have been there and done it.
Some examples of our classes include marine weather forecasting, traditional navigation techniques, diesel maintenance, heavy weather sailing, electrical systems and much much more!

Classes will be held at The Historic Inns of Annapolis – The Governor Calvert House, 58 State Circle, Annapolis. The Historic Inns are just a short walk to the show grounds of the US Powerboat Show & the US Sailboat Show.
All Tuition Includes:

2022 Fall Tuition Prices
Master Cruiser Series – $1095
In the Master Cruiser Classes, students will attend 2 days of the Master Class 0f their choice, 2 days of electives or all-day seminars, breakfast & lunch on all 4 days, entrance in all days of the US Powerboat Show and the US Sailboat Show, as well as entry into 2 of the Cruisers University evening gatherings.

- Diesel Maintenance – A hands-on class taught by Jim Zima of Great Lakes Diesel Marine, using many cutaway models and a working Yanmar Engine provides skills in learning how to maintain diesel engines.
- She’s A Cruiser – for women by women taught by Behan Gifford & Nica Waters.
- Marine Electrical Systems – A hands-on class taught by Nigel Calder. He will help you understand how marine electrical systems are designed and how to troubleshoot electrical issues.
- Marine Weather Forecasting – This class taught by Mark Thornton from LakeErieWx, will provide you with the understanding of all things weather and the skills to find and use a weather forecast for your cruising grounds.
Tuition Packages:
Master Cruiser Package $1095– includes 2 days of the master class, 2 days of electives or all-day seminars, breakfast and lunch for 4 days, entrance into 2 evening Cruisers University gatherings, as well as entry into all 4 days of the US Powerboat Show and all 5 days of the US Sailboat Show.
4 Day Cruisers Package $925 – 4 days of electives or all-day seminars, breakfast and lunch for 4 days, entrance into 2 evening Cruisers University gatherings, as well as entry into all 4 days of the US Powerboat Show and all 5 days of the US Sailboat Show.
3 Day Cruisers Package $825 – 3 days of electives or all-day seminars, breakfast and lunch for 3 days, entrance into 2 evening Cruisers University gatherings, as well as entry into all 4 days of the US Powerboat Show and all 5 days of the US Sailboat Show.
2 Day Cruisers Package $650 – 2 days of electives or all-day seminars, breakfast and lunch for 2 days, entrance into 1 evening Cruisers University gathering, as well as entry into all 4 days of the US Powerboat Show and all 5 days of the US Sailboat Show.
1 Day Cruisers Package $490 – 1 day of electives or an all-day seminar, breakfast and lunch for 1 day, entrance into 1 evening Cruisers University gathering, as well as entry into all 4 days of the US Powerboat Show and all 5 days of the US Sailboat Show.
Hands On Clinics with Jamie Gifford $325 – the 3 clinics are Friday – Sunday and focus on Rigging & Sail Inventory Survey
Each elective class is either 90 -180 minutes in length. The topics range from weather, marine electrical issues, solar systems, line handling and docking, as well as many other areas to chose from.

- Refunds are acceptable up to 30 days prior to the start of the event.
- Inside 30 days of the event, only credit towards future Cruisers University sessions will be given.
- No refund or credit for cancellation within 10 days of the start of the event.
- Credits are good for up to 365 days.
