Date: October 13, 2026For immediate release | October 13, 2026 | Annapolis, MD – The sailing world returns to the Chesapeake Bay as the Annapolis Sailboat Show opens Thursday, October 15, at City Dock in downtown Annapolis. As the largest in-water sailboat show in the world, this four-day show brings together sailing enthusiasts, prospective boat buyers, and industry professionals to celebrate life on the water and explore the latest in sailing.
Visitors can step aboard more than 150 sailboats and connect with more than 500 exhibitors showcasing marine electronics, rigging, safety equipment, apparel, accessories, and services. From first-time boat buyers and recreational sailors to world-class racers to experienced cruisers planning their next offshore passage, the show offers opportunities to compare vessels, meet manufacturers and dealers, explore new products, and find resources for every stage of the sailing journey. The in-water display will feature a wide range of vessels, including new models and notable boat introductions. Attendees can compare designs, layouts, and onboard features while speaking directly with industry professionals about the latest developments in sailing.
Educational opportunities are another key part of the show, with seminars and hands-on courses designed to build confidence and sharpen sailing skills. Cruisers University, now underway through October 16 at the Historic Inns of Annapolis, offers more than 80 classes covering coastal cruising, offshore sailing, and other essential topics for those preparing to spend more time on the water.
The show will feature an updated layout to accommodate ongoing construction associated with the City Dock Resiliency Project. Reconfigured exhibit tents will create a refreshed visitor experience while maintaining the signature in-water displays. Attendees can also enjoy opportunities to connect with sailing personalities and fellow enthusiasts, participate in family-friendly activities, grab a waterfront refreshment and explore the restaurants, shops, and attractions of historic downtown Annapolis.
