Annapolis, MD – Sailors from across the Mid-Atlantic region kicked off the 2025 sailing season at the Annapolis Spring Sailboat Show, held April 25–27 at Annapolis’ City Dock.

Highlights

  • TEMO 1000 U.S. Premier: The TEMO 1000 electric outboard made its US debut at the Annapolis Spring Sailboat Show. The 1000 is a follow up to the French manufacturer’s tube-style TEMO 450. Along with the increase in power (boasting a three-horsepower-equivalent, 1100-Watt motor) the 1000 is sporting a new form factor – adopting a blade or rudder configuration targeted towards large tenders or sailboats up to 26 feet. Read TEMO’s full press release here.
  • Minting New Sailors: The show’s First Sail Workshop offered attendees the opportunity to take a 45-minute introductory sailing class followed by 90 minutes of on-the-water instruction. This year, the workshop was sold out before the opening day. Additionally, the show featured free introductory seminars and over a dozen boats below 26 feet with the aim of bringing new people into the sport.
  • Emphasis on Racing: The show featured a renewed emphasis on competitive sailing. This effort can be seen in the appearance of purpose-built racers like the Melges 15 and Rondar 640 Viper as well as the addition of programs like Dawn Riley’s Oakcliff Collaboration Tour. Learn more.
  • Growing Boat List: This year’s show featured over 50 boats – cementing it as the nation’s second largest all sailboat show (behind the Annapolis Sailboat Show held in the fall). Along with exceeding the figures from previous years, it dwarfs the number of sailboats featured in major national events such as the Miami and Newport International Boat Shows. See full boat list.
